EasyTechCare, Inc., The Consumer Friendly Tech Care Company, Opens Its Doors In Toronto

Toronto Dec 13, 2005 EasyTechCare, a company like an auto club for your Home computer and home digital environment, officially opened its doors on Dec 16, 2005. The company is unique in that it delivers a comprehensive package of support, repair services, advice, access to discounted products and services and product warranties to members who pay a monthly fee. It
offers services such as free on-site visits for members and computer care seminars in the communities it serves. They also do support and repair for non-members.

EasyTechCare is positioning itself as the consumer-friendly tech care company. The company is initially targeting association members households with multiple computers, and seniors.  The company is the creation of two computing and customer-service veterans. Michael Beirne, a founding member of Packard Bell Canada, has more than 20 years of technology experience.
Maxwell Finestone has played senior leadership roles in some of the world's best-known companies, including Bell Canada, Volkswagen and Midas International.

"There is considerable anxiety on the part of consumers around setting up, using and keeping these devices connected and operating," said Mr. Beirnie. "This is the need EasyTechCare will fill. Home users will have a place to go for reliable assistance and support, something this community has never been able to access before. We will offer a branded service delivery, with on-line in-home installation, telephone support and service and repair with certified technicians based on a membership model and  value offerings. ETC is a unique alternative, with fixed annual fees and strict "Standards of Service" and defined levels of support providing peace of mind."

"EasyTechCare is bringing a new model to the market through its unique Membership/Subscription approach," said Mr. Finestone. " Much like Auto Club membership, ETC Members will pay a monthly fee for which they will receive a comprehensive package of support, repair services, advice, access to discounted products and services and. product warranties. Consumers will pay as little as $8.95 CDN/month and have access to a single phone number/Web Site from which immediate help or additional trusted services are made available."

Studies show that most residential PC users regularly have problems with their machines. But access to reliable and consistent full service (hardware and software) support is problematic and often expensive. You may have to make multiple calls, which are often billed by the minute. Service programs and "Pay-Per-Use" service can cost more that the machine itself.

Computer owners often end up bringing their machines to repair shops. But service costs at shops are on a "fee for service" basis and tend to be difficult to predict or control.  And that's just for one device. Networked multiple computers and digital home entertainment devices could make their expenses spiral out of control.

EasyTechCare will provide a less expensive alternative to residential users of computers and related broadband home appliances, with features such as:
- EasyTechCare's unique Membership Model focused on building sustainable
relationships and the provision of value-added support tools (such as "Tech Guru" and Monthly Newsletters)
- "1-call" support and solutions for Members
- Extended hardware warranties for Members
- Stringently enforced Standards of Service
- The use of only "CompTIA A+" Certified Technicians
- EasyTechCare's customer handling skills training for its Technicians
- 24/7 Call Centre support for both hardware and software support

In addition to this, the complete suite of support services covers equipment and software discounts and lease financing, upgrades, network assistance, web services, backup, repairs and maintenance, advice and training, which will be bundled into high-level packages.

EasyTechCare services can be offered to Associations as "Membership Benefits," with discounts offered to subscribers. Revenues from service work can be provided to associations per subscriber. Discounts can be offered to seniors, and the company may offer free seminars in "Assisted Living" facilities and Seniors Centers for residents and members with computers.
EasyTechCare services may also have a special focus on wireless networking and system optimization.

"We are evangelizing this service delivery concept for consumers who have to deal with increasingly complex digital homes," said Michael Beirne.
